One of our favorite deserts here at Frigo’s is a Panettone. A desert from Italy, the Panettone has become a famous pastry that is enjoyed during Christmas and New Years. Frigo’s takes great care in preparing this labor intensive desert. The dough, similar to a sourdough, slowly ferments and rises for at least 12 hours, but can take much longer. Ingredients used in our popular Panettone are usually flour, eggs, butter, yeast, dried raisins, candied oranges, citron and lemon zest. It weighs roughly 2 pounds and serves up to 8 people
